Khasi Ko Bhutuwa ( Mutton fry – Nepali Style )

Ingredients:

1 kg boneless mutton, 1 inch
100 ml mustard oil
1tbsp ginger paste
1tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp jeera(cumin) powder
½ tbsp dhania(coriander) powder
1/2 tbsp garam masala powder (cinamon/cardamom/clove)
½ tbsp chilli powder
½ tbsp turmeric powder
Water as required
Salt to taste
4 big onions, chopped and fried till brown
small bunch of coriander leaves, chopped

Method:

Heat oil . Add mutton and keep frying till the water evaporates.
Add ginger paste and garlic paste and sauté for two to three minutes.
Add the remaining spices and fry well.
Add water to cover the mutton.
Transfer the ingredients to a pressure cooker and cook for 5 whistles.
Remove the pressure cooker lid and stir it in sim for 5 more minutes till it becomes almost dry..
Serve hot, sprinkled with fried onion and coriander leaves.
